Quality advice

Our services stand for the highest levels of openness and clarity. In our service guide, we have recorded both our professional and private services. The service guide describes what you, as a relation, can expect from us in terms of our approach, our insurance and our remuneration. It also describes what we expect from you, as a customer. Policy conditions apply to insurances. For contracts for services, we apply general terms and conditions.

Financial Supervision Act

Schouten Zekerheid is supervised by the Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM). The AFM has given our firm a license to broker (2:80) in damage insurance, life insurance, pension insurance and savings insurance. We also may act as an authorised agent (2:92) in life insurance. Moreover, we can provide advice (2:96) in collective investment schemes. Schouten Zekerheid is registered in the register under number 12009678 Registration is a legal requirement. The register is available on the website of the AFM (www.afm.nl).

Personal advice - yes or no?

If you arrange insurance or financial product from Schouten Zekerheid without our advice (by mail, telephone, email or via our website), through an insurer directly, or through a so-called master contract, we work according to the Execution Only principle and don't create a customer profile. We accommodate groups of consumers who do not need an extensive advisory programme and like to be directly responsible for the procurement and management of their insurance and financial products themselves. In case of Execution Only, you yourself are responsible for the choice of insurance and financial product, as well as alignment with your personal situation. Complaints procedure

Naturally, we try to provide the best service possible. However, if you have a complaint about our service, we ask you to inform us as soon as possible. Complaints must be made in writing by registered letter addressed to the management. After receiving the complaint, we will contact you shortly. If a complaint does not lead to a satisfactory solution, you may submit your complaint to the Independent Complaints Institute Financial Services (Kifid), PO Box 93257, 2509 AG The Hague, telephone: 0900-fklacht or 0900-3552248, email: info@kifid.nl, website: www.kifid.nl. This option is open to consumers with complaints about private insurance. You can also apply to the Civil Court, including for complaints about professional insurance.

Competent and trustworthy

Schouten Zekerheid is not only a Registered Insurance Broker (RMIA) and Registered Pension Advisor (RPA), but also a member of Adfiz. We endorse the Adfiz Integrity Codes and act in the interest of the customer. We are not led by insurers and banks. We and our staff are professional, knowledgeable and honest. Our remuneration prevents sales-driven advice. Our customers receive honest services provided at fair prices. Our goal goes beyond today's customer, we strive for long-term relationships.
